 Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
HBINFO is delighted to offer this introduction to ESA for all HB staff.  The course deals with: the policy intentions, what ESA replaces and the detailed rules that will govern how HB is calculated and paid after ESA is introduced nationwide. Available in-house as a full one-day course or two half-day overview sessions to different staff.

    • Which claimants will be affected by ESA immediately?
    • Which claimants will be affected by LHA at a later date?
    • Which cases will not be affected by LHA at all?

    • Changes to assessment of HB/CTB claims
    • Impact of permitted work earnings rule 
  • Local authority functions
    • Publicity
    • Providing advice and gathering evidence
    • Impact on claim form design
    • Subsidy implications
Fee: £175 for non-HBINFO members, £160 for HBINFO members. Book three places, get a fourth place free (free places may be carried forward and used on any subsequent HBINFO training event within three months of the date of the original course.  The fee covers refreshments, lunch and all training materials.
