Welfare Benefits Overview for HB/CTB Staff
HBINFO is delighted to offer a workshop day on "Welfare Benefits".
This course is designed for customer services & visiting officers, new benefits assessors and those who need to know how the welfare benefit system works and what benefits their HB/CTB customers can get.

Means-tested & non-means-tested benefits
Contributory & non-contributory benefits

How & where to claim a welfare benefit or tax credit

An understanding of the benefits & eligibility rules for:
Those of working age - actively seeking work / not actively seeking work / incapable of work
Those with responsibility for children
Those with a disability
Carers
Young people
Those of pension age
Bereavement benefits

Welfare benefits, HB/CTB & specific life events
Birth, Marriage / Partner / CP, Domestic violence, Bereavement, Retirement

Fee: £199 for HBINFO members, £225 for non-HBINFO members. Book three places, get a fourth one free (free places may be carried forward and used on any subsequent HBINFO training event).  This fee covers refreshments, lunch and all training materials.
